Caddo Sheriff Henry Whitehorn, Sr. announced that the National Prescription Drug Take Back Campaign is underway. Citizens can drop off unwanted prescription drugs on Saturday, October 24, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Sheriff's Safety Town, located at 8910 Jewella Avenue in the west end of the Summer Grove parking lot.

If you have not used certain medications, no longer need them, or if they are expired, please consider dropping them off. This is a great way to prevent misplaced or unnecessary drugs from being stolen while also cleaning out your space. Deputies and officers will be on hand to collect and properly dispose of both prescription and over-the-counter medications, including tablets, capsules, and sealed liquids.

Please remember to remove all identifying information, such as your name, address, and prescription number, from the containers. Note that intravenous solutions, injectables, and needles will not be accepted.

For more information, you can contact Sheriff's Safety Town at 318-698-7233.
