Tre'veon Jackson, the inmate who escaped from a Caddo Parish Sheriff's Office deputy while being transported from Oschner/ LSU Health Shreveport, has been captured in Texas, according to Sheriff Henry Whitehorn Sr.

Earlier this evening, members of the U.S. Marshals Service Task Force arrested Jackson in Marshall, Texas. He is currently being housed in the Harrison County Jail on federal charges.

Jackson, 24, escaped from the custody of a Caddo Parish Sheriff's Office deputy around 10:15 p.m. outside Ochsner LSU Health Shreveport, located at 1501 Kings Highway. Following his escape, local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies collaborated to locate and apprehend him.

The Caddo Parish Sheriff's Office thanks the U.S. Marshals Service and all law enforcement agencies involved for their efforts during the search and apprehension. The Sheriff's Office also appreciates the public and media for swiftly disseminating Jackson's description and information.

More details about Jackson's arrest and return to Caddo Parish, along with any additional charges, will be provided as they become available.
