On Sunday, May 31, 2026, the Caddo Parish Sheriff's Office initiated an investigation involving a 14-year-old victim and 19-year-old Tylen Turner, who resides in the 9000 block of Lytham Drive, according to Sheriff Henry Whitehorn Sr.

Investigators report that Turner allegedly arrived at the victim's residence around 3:00 a.m. while the victim's parent was asleep inside the home. Upon discovering the situation, the parent contacted the Caddo Parish Sheriff's Office. Patrol deputies responded to the scene but were informed that the suspect had already fled before their arrival.

Detectives, including Detective Thaddeus Scott, continued the investigation with assistance from patrol deputies and identified Tylen Turner as the suspect.

During the investigation, detectives gathered evidence indicating inappropriate electronic communications between the suspect and the juvenile victim. The Honorable Judge Donald E. Hathaway issued a search warrant for the victim's cellular device. A subsequent forensic examination of the device revealed additional evidence relevant to the case, including information supporting the suspect's presence at the residence and allegations of sexual contact between the parties.

Based on the overall evidence collected, Turner was arrested and charged with Felony Carnal Knowledge of a Juvenile. He was then transported to the Caddo Correctional Center, where he was booked on the aforementioned charges.

Following further investigation, detectives recovered and analyzed digital evidence that allegedly showed the production of child sexual abuse material involving the victim, as well as electronic communications used to persuade or entice the victim to engage in sexual conduct. As a result, Turner was additionally charged with Child Sexual Abuse Materials and Computer-Aided Solicitation of a Minor.. 

This investigation remains ongoing, and no further details are being released at this time to protect the integrity of the case and the privacy of the juvenile victim.
