Student Arrested After Threat Investigation at Northwood High School

On February 17, 2026, Deputy Billy Nunnery, the School Resource Officer at Northwood High School, was informed of a gun threat allegedly made by a 14-year-old student. Deputy Nunnery quickly located the student and conducted a search, but no weapons were found.

Further investigation revealed that the student was upset about a violation policy and had made the statements about being armed as a joke.

Detectives were notified, and after additional investigation, the juvenile was arrested and charged with terrorizing. He was subsequently transported to and booked into the Caddo Parish Juvenile Detention Center.

The Caddo Parish Sheriff's Office takes all threats involving schools seriously and will continue to investigate and respond promptly to ensure the safety of students, faculty, and staff.

Anyone with additional information related to this incident is encouraged to contact the Caddo Parish Sheriff's Office at (318) 675-2170.
