The Caddo Parish Sheriff's Office is currently investigating a reported shootout that took place this afternoon at the intersection of Bert Kouns Industrial Loop and Pines Road, according to Sheriff Henry Whitehorn Sr.

On February 12, 2026, at approximately 4:27 p.m., deputies were dispatched to the area following reports of gunshots. Witnesses at the scene described the involvement of a dark-colored four-door vehicle, possibly blue, and an older model white vehicle, which appeared to be exchanging gunfire.

Upon their arrival, deputies found multiple shell casings on the roadway. At this time, no victims or suspects have been identified, and there have been no reported injuries. Local hospitals are being contacted as part of the investigation.
