A 30-year-old registered sex offender from Greenwood was arrested today for having sex with minors, said Sheriff Steve Prator.

Deputies began an investigation into the actions of Justin Butch Beckham after learning that a 16-year-old girl had been talking and texting with Beckham via cell phone. The two met through mutual friends several years ago and recently began a sexual relationship, according to Sheriff’s Detective Jared Marshall. The girl was aware that Beckham is sex offender. He was convicted in 2007 for simple rape.  

Detectives also identified a second juvenile victim who said she had a sexual encounter with Beckham when she was 14.

Additionally, Marshall said Beckham created and maintained a Facebook account using the false name “Bradley Pitt.” As a registered sex offender, he is prohibited by law from having a Facebook account.

Beckham, who lists his address in the 8900 block of East Starwood Lane in Greenwood, was booked into Caddo Correctional Center for indecent behavior with juveniles, computer-aided solicitation of a minor, two counts of felony carnal knowledge of a juvenile, and unlawful use of a social networking website.
